Founded in 1994 with an unwavering commitment to work with exceptional, sustainably-grown vineyards and to hand-craft expressive, interesting, and balanced wines, Stephen Ross delights in producing cool climate wines from the San Luis Obispo Coast and slightly beyond.
Our estate vineyard, Stone Corral, was planted in 2001 and since inception in 1994, we have worked with a handful of notable and locally owned vineyards on the San Luis Obispo Coast. We are immensely grateful to be able to live and make wine in one of the most unique wine regions in California.
Guided by a respect for nature and a desire to showcase the cool-climate beauty of the SLO Coast, Dunites crafts vibrant, terroir-driven wines through minimal intervention and organic farming practices.
Whole-cluster fermentations, neutral oak aging, and bottling with minimal intervention preserve purity and texture, while healthy lees aging builds a seamless mouthfeel. The result: soulful, expressive wines that tell the story of the vineyards they came from.
Greengate Wines is an estate winery born from over a decade of dedication to the land. Nestled within a 140-acre ranch in California's Edna Valley, our family has spent 12 years cultivating more than 100 acres of meticulously tended vines — learning the rhythms of this remarkable place long before the first bottle was ever made. Now, that patient knowledge finds its expression in the glass.
We craft exclusively estate-grown wines shaped by the cool, fog-kissed influence of the San Luis Obispo Coast AVA — a region uniquely suited to the light-bodied, aromatic varieties we love. Every bottle of Greengate Wines traces its origins to a single property, a single philosophy: let the land lead. From vine to vintage, this is Edna Valley, honestly grown and thoughtfully made.
